Angelite is formed from Celestite that has been compressed over millions of years. It is a beautiful blue stone, containing flecks of white. Angelite is formed as an "anhydrite', a word from the Greek, meaning "without water". Anhydrite is usually birthed in sedimentary basins where large volumes of sea water have evaporated.
