Learn and Experience Reiki at a Higher Level. This is the second class in the Reiki Series of classes that will take students from practicing Self Reiki to incorporating Reiki into their lives at a deeper spiritual level of understanding. It will also provide students will valuable information and experience regarding the Reiki client healing hand techniques, the practices of Distant Healing, Japanese Reiki Breath Techniques, Reiki Level II spiritual Symbols and their energetic uses, and using crystals and colors to enhance a Reiki experience.
The Reiki Level II attunement procedures and the twenty-one-day cleanse process will be reviewed and discussed. Students will become Second Degree Reiki Practitioners and earn a Reiki Level II Certificate upon completion of this class.
The method of Reiki taught through the School of Energy Medicine at Angel Light Center for the Healing Arts has been developed based on the original Japanese Reiki teachings and traditions of Mikao Usui, The teachings have been thoroughly researched and include many of the original energetic techniques used and taught by Mikao Usui, but more importunately, is the sharing of information on the incorporation of the original attunement of Mikao Usui, called Reiju. Reiju comes thru the original Japanese system and was given by Usui to his students. This attunement is quite different from the attunement process which has been traditionally taught in in many classes in the West.
About Reiki:
Reiki is a Japanese method of energy healing that has been practiced for
hundreds of years. Reiki is one form of Energy Medicine among many other energetic practices that have been used throughout many cultures throughout time.
The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words' “rei” meaning universal and “ki” meaning life force energy. The system of Reiki we have come to know in the West is a version of the healing modality discovered and developed by Mikao Usui who called his technique Usui Reiki Ryoho.
While Reiki is spiritual in nature and can guide us on our path to higher consciousness or awareness, it is not a religion. Reiki connects you to the source of the higher power of the universe that unites us with all living things. The “source” can be defined in one’s own terms or beliefs. A Reiki student becomes connected to the source of Reiki through an energetic process and empowerment ceremony called an attunement that is passed down through the Mikao Usui lineage. This method of transference comes from the Divine Light of Reiki through the practitioner and to the students during the process of attunement. This connection allows Reiki to flow through the student’s crown chakra, into their heart space and out through their arms and hands for self-healing, healing of others, pets, plants, the environment, situations, the universe and beyond.
