An Experiential Training in Plant Relationships, Cultural
Context, and Respectful Practice
Tuesday, December 8, 2026
6:30p - 8:00p
What changes when we begin to understand plants not simply as something we use, but as living relatives with whom we are in relationship? Mother Earth’s Medicines explores white sage, sweet grass, cedar, frankincense, Palo Santo, and Florida Water through teaching, demonstration, and guided practice.
Participants will learn about cultural context, traditional and contemporary uses, respectful sourcing and handling, and practices for preparing intentional space. At the heart of this training is a simple understanding: when we receive something from the Earth, we also carry a responsibility for how we receive it, how we use it, and how we give back.
This class can be taken as a stand-alone class or as part of the Experiential Learning through an Indigenous Perspective 5-class series to earn a Certificate of Completion.
