
Agate is a rock formation, usually formed on or within pre-existing rocks which make it challenging to determine its actual age. Agates consist of Quartz and Chalcedony but may contain other minerals absorbed in its growth process. Agates date back to ancient civilizations where they were highly valued for their beauty and widely used to make jewelry.
Agates are stones of balance. That is their job in the world of crystals, but they also bring love, truthfulness, courage, bravery, strength and abundance. Agates are considered Power Stones. They are very grounding, solid and stable. All agates are excellent healing stones as well. Agate stimulates analytical ability and assists when working with math and numbers.
As a Geode, this specimen is a natural rock formation that contains a cavity lined with crystals. These crystals are often called "druzy". They are very tiny, sparkling, and filled with light and wonder. Geodes are formed with a hollow interior, within a layer of rock. The rock they are formed in typically is created by volcanic forces or chemical precipitation. The word Geode comes from the Greek term, "Geodes", which means Earth-like.
This special piece is bonded with Titanium by placing the it in a chamber in which vaporized titanium and other metal oxides are introduced and bonded to the Agate.
